Pastor Jeremiah Johnston
Jeremiah Johnston has lived in the Kansas City his entire life and came to faith in Christ in October 1987 at First Baptist Church of Eueless, Texas then responded to the call of ministry on his life at Falls Greek Youth Camp Oklahoma in June of 1994. Jeremiah graduated in the class of 2000 at Blue Valley North High School. The integration of faith and learning occurred during his higher education which taught Jeremiah to develop a strong Christian world and live view. It was first in his undergraduate studies that he formed the vision of presenting the gospel in such a way that it would appeal not only to the heart but the head. His desire is to satisfy the intellectual demands of a person as well as one's emotional needs.
Jeremiah completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Divinity at Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City. Jeremiah began his PhD research at Oxford/Wales in 2009 specializing in the historical Jesus and resurrection/after life beliefs of the first century CE. He is also currently in research at Yale Divinity School (visiting) in 2011-2012. Jeremiah's passion is teaching believers to understand, defend and communicate their faith and to that end founded a ministry he continues at New Day Church called "Christian Thinkers Society." At Christian Thinkers Society, Jeremiah and Audrey teach Christians to become Thinkers and Thinkers to become Christians. Jeremiah and his wife, Audrey, have a daughter and a son.
