Kidz Quest Ministry

Kidz Quest is the children's ministry of New Day Church Kansas City. From start to finish, we strive to make your time with us a great experience. You will start by checking your child into our computerized database, to help ensure his or her security. Then, one of our Kidz Quest volunteers will walk you to where you drop off your child. Your child will be greeted and shown his or her room by one of our volunteers. All of our volunteers are background checked and trained to guarantee your child the best experience possible. During the worship experience, they will learn God's truths at levels appropriate for their age.

We seek to make this your child's favorite day of the week, so we use skilled volunteers, technology, fun activities, and excellent environments to communicate the timeless knowledge of our loving God. We believe this makes Kidz Quest a place your child will be begging you to bring them back to each week!

It's important for you to know that, if for any reason, we need to get a hold of you during the worship experience, we will do so through a three character code on the screens in our Worship Center. When you check your child into Kidz Quest for the service, you will receive a unique three character code. Your child's unique code will appear on the screens in the Worship Center in the event that we need you for something.

First Steps Nursery (Birth - 24 Months)

Bringing bright beginnings on the first steps a Godly walk for infants and toddlers. Meeting in room 318 at Olathe East, we will have a safe and secure environment for your infants and toddlers while you enjoy LIFE Groups and our Main Worship Service. We begin our teaching curriculum with our 2 year olds, so there will be something for all of those taking their “First Steps” towards a Godly walk with Christ!

Little Learners (Pre-K)

Pre-schoolers seeking knowledge about Christ and His Kingdom. Meeting in room 410 at Olathe East, we will have one of the greatest pre-school ministries there is! The environment will be safe and secure for your pre-schoolers during your visit with us! We have an amazing curriculum we use known at First Look. Read more about this wonderful teaching we bring to your pre-schoolers every Sunday! We also have an awesome stage in the room where we will do live skits, puppet shows, and so much more! Our Little Learners begin learning about two important things: salvation and discipleship. These Little Learners will become BIG for God!

Xtreme Explorers (Kindergarten-5th Grade)

Xtreme students seeking salvation, becoming bold believers, and daring to become disciples. Our grade school ministry is for Kindergarten through 5th grade and we meet in three gorgeous rooms right across from the main auditorium at Olathe East. During the morning Xtreme Explorers remain highly active with a learning curriculum known as 252 basics. We will explore the Bible in a unique and exciting way! Through Bible application activities, your children during the 9:15 am hour will learn key aspects of our monthly virtue we teach.

What is a virtue? Basically, a virtue is something God does in us to change the world around us. We teach the kids the virtue definition, the fact that God created that virtue and exemplifies it, and God instills that virtue in us as He shapes us to become more like Him. God also uses that virtue in us to influence and impact our families, friends, and neighbors.

The Xtreme Show (10:30 Worship Rally)

The Xtreme Show is highly energetic worship rally for our Xtreme Explorers. Our Xtreme Explorers will meet in the Small Auditorium at Olathe East for a worship rally experience like no other! There will be worship; led by our incredible BLAST worship team! There will be live skit performed by our It’s a Laugh Drama Team. We will have games, activities; all which tie into the key teaching point for the day. And Pastor Roger delivers a fun and memorable message for the Explorers near the end.

AWANA (Sunday 5:00-6:00 p.m During the School Year)

The AWANA name: AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible verse: 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This high-energy, scripture memory program may be the most life-changing ministry of our church because of its pure focus on memorizing God's word. Every Sunday children ages 3 to 6th grade will gather to worship, quote scripture, compete in AWANA games, and have snacks-all. This one night each week will transform your entire family's life! Children do not have to attend New Day Church Kansas City in order to attend Awana.
