Hebrews 10:25 (NIV) - "[do] not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

LifeGroup Purpose Statement:

To form and facilitate Christian relationships and spiritual maturity through weekly spiritual fellowship and spiritual discussion.

LifeGroup Objectives:

  • To form meaningful relationships in the life of the New Day Church Kansas City Membership.
  • To create high accountability for New Day Church Kansas City Membership to become faithful to weekend worship services.
  • To provide a framework of communication that connects New Day Church Kansas City Pastoral staff to the direct needs of the New Day Church Kansas City Membership.
  • To create a "Small Church" feel within the Day Church Kansas City membership.
  • To promote unity and harmony within the membership of New Day Church Kansas City about the vision and ministry of New Day Church Kansas City.

LifeGroup Leader Role:

  • Model Faithfulness
  • Model Friendliness
  • Model Spiritual Growth

LifeGroup Ministry Content:

  • Pastor Jerry's sermons.
  • Pastor Jerry's Weekly Study Guide.
    • (Prepared and delivered Monday of each week) [based on Pastor's current sermon series w/ Pastor's weekly Life Group focus points]
  • Pastor Jerry's weekly "Life Group" Focus Points.
    • (Placed online and on the sermonar each week)
  • The Holy Spirit's work in your life.
    • (Your weekly devotional life)
  • New Day Church Kansas City will also offer 6-10 "Topical" Life Groups

LifeGroup Structure:

  • 12-15 couples or 15-30 individuals/singles of similar age, interest, or previously formed relationships.
    • (Chosen and arranged by New Day Church Kansas City Staff and Life Group Leadership)
  • 3-4 table groups in each Life Group that each have a "table leader."

Example LifeGroup Timeline:

  • 9:00-9:10
    Meet and greet over coffee and refreshments.
  • 9:10-9:15
    Welcome, general announcements, and offering (announcements provided by New Day Church Kansas City).
  • 9:15-9:30
    Overview of "Focus Points" from previous week provided by Pastor Jerry and the specific way the Holy Spirit has used those in your life that week.
  • 9:30-10:00
    Table discussion time (facilitated by table leaders) of specific discussion questions of "Focus Points" from previous week provided by Pastor Jerry.
  • 10:00-10:15
    Prayer requests and prayer time.
  • 10:15-10:20
    Dismiss
